Columbus, Ohio, police have released a new surveillance video of a person of interest in the murders of a dentist and his wife.

Spencer and Monique Tepe were found shot to death inside their home with their two kids nearby.

The "eerie" video shows a person, whose face is obscured by a hoodie, walking down a snowy alley. Columbus police shared it on their Instagram page.

However, Rob Misleh, a family member, told NewsNation that he's not convinced of the video's significance. “I do think, you know, (it’s a) suspicious-looking person there. It also very well could be … somebody walking home drunk from a bar,” he said.

"Detectives believe the murder of Mr. and Mrs. Tepe occurred sometime between 2:00 and 5:00 a.m. on the morning of December 30th in the upstairs of their residence," police wrote with the video. "Recovered video footage shows a person of interest walking in the alley near the Tepe’s residence during that timeframe."

"We have received and are continuing to receive numerous tips from the community, which our detectives are following up on," they added. "If you have information that could lead to the identity of the person in this video, please call 614-645-2228 or use the QR code provided. Anonymous tips may also be made to Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-8477."

In an earlier news release in which they identified the victims as the Tepes, police wrote that they went to the couple's home on December 30 for a welfare check. They found two small children, the Tepes' kids, inside the home "unharmed" and the Tepes both shot to death. Both victims were in their 30s.

According to Fox News, authorities ruled out a murder-suicide and did not find a weapon or signs of forced entry at the home. Spencer was shot multiple times, and Monique "was shot at least once in the chest," Fox News reported.

No weapon was recovered at the scene, and authorities have ruled out a murder-suicide. There were also no signs of forced entry.

A business bio for Spencer, a dentist, says, "Dr. Spencer Tepe attended The Ohio State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, while double majoring in Spanish. He continued his education at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2017."

That bio, which includes a photo showing Spencer, his wife, and kids, says, "Outside of the office, Dr. Tepe enjoys golf, travel, and time with his family."
