Arkansas family doctor Dr. Randall “Randy” Beallis has been married multiple times. Two of his wives died tragically, as did his two toddler daughters.

Those tragedies have plunged the doctor into scrutiny. To be clear, he has not been accused by authorities of wrongdoing in connection with any of the deaths.

On December 3, 2025, at around 9:30 a.m., Sebastian County Sheriff's Dispatch "received a call about a welfare check on the occupants of a residence in the 1100 block of 1st Avenue in Bonanza," a statement from the Sheriff's Department says. "Bonanza PD was given the call as the address in their city limits. SCSO deputies also went on the call with Bonanza PD to assist. Law enforcement could not get any response from the residence and continued to investigate."

The release continues: "They were able to enter the home with the assistance of two workers at the home. Upon entering the home, they found three deceased individuals, a woman and two deceased children. It was apparent that the three had gunshot wounds. The woman was identified as Charity Beallis, 40. The children’s identity is not being released. All three have been sent to the Arkansas Crime Lab in Little Rock for autopsy to determine exact cause of death."

However, People reported that the child victims were the 6-year-old twins of Charity and Randy.

“Mr. Beallis was not responsible for the death of Mrs. Beallis,” his attorney told Oxygen.com, "nor his children’s deaths." The lawyer says he has been cooperative.

It wasn't the first death in his family.

His second wife, Shawna Jeanette Graham Beallis, 34, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, "passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012 in Fort Smith," according to her obituary, which described her as a registered nurse.

According to KNWA-TV, Shawna "was found dead in the couple’s home from an apparent gunshot wound. Fort Smith Police ruled the death a suicide."

When officers arrived at the home Randall "answered the door and said, 'She killed herself,'" the television station reported. "Police found Shawna dead in the bedroom from a gunshot wound. The report also noted furniture and other items scattered throughout the home."

According to KNWA, the case was reopened in 2021 after Charity’s father, Randy Powell, "claimed Charity was involved in Shawna’s death," but Powell later said he "never said his daughter was involved — only that 'she knew who did it.'" No charges or suspect ever officially emerged in that death, either.

According to 5 News, the deaths occurred "a day after the final hearing in her divorce from Dr. Beallis." The television station noted that Randall is "a family practitioner" who "has been licensed in Arkansas for nearly two decades." He was also licensed in Florida and Illinois.

5 News noted that Randy has never been disciplined by medical boards and has received positive references. However, he once apologized after being accused of having "prescribed his wife Schedule II narcotics after a surgery," the television station reported.

According to 5 News, in 2020, Dr. Beallis and his wife Charity were accused of having "slashed the tires of their then 17-year-old son, John Powell." He pleaded "no contest to misdemeanor criminal mischief, receiving a one-year suspended sentence," 5 News reported, adding that Charity also accused him of abuse to the board in 2025. Although he said she was abusive first, 5 News noted that Dr. Beallis "was eventually arrested and charged with felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor counts of domestic battering and endangering the welfare of minors."

When she filed for divorce last spring, Charity "had asked for full custody of her two children and a protective order for herself and the children because her husband had been arrested and charged with domestic violence," People reported.

"In reference to the death investigation in Bonanza that has been ongoing since 12-3-2025, SCSO is giving this update on the course and scope of the investigation," the Sebastian County Sheriff's Office wrote on December 9.

According to the Sheriff's Department, 12 search warrants were "in process," six were served, more could be pending, "numerous interviews have taken place: with more pending, and a "voluminous number of tips have been received."

"Each lead is being actively pursued," the statement said, adding that the U.S. Secret Service and Homeland Security were assisting. "Autopsy preliminary results are still pending," the release said. There is still no named suspect.
