Will Smith Celebrates 'Wild Wild West' 26th Anniversary With NSFW Photo

Will Smith is throwing it back to Wild Wild West in a big way — this time with a NSFW tribute to the film’s 26th anniversary.

On Monday, June 30, the 56-year-old actor posted a throwback photo from the film on Instagram, where he’s seen sporting nothing but a cowboy hat covering his manhood, and showing off his ripped physique from the 1999 film.

“Wild Wild West came out 26 years ago today- sorry this is the only photo I could find,” Smith joked in the caption, which got quite a few comments from fans.

“My favorite scene. Explanation not needed,” one commented, while another said, “I'm looking forward to seeing you make another movie...🔥❤️.”

A third quipped, “The only one we need from that movie...thank you. 😍”

Some weren’t fans of the photo, however. “The only human who is ruining his own legacy,” one noted, while another slammed, “They didn't need to see this 26 years ago... and we don't need to see it now😭.”

In the movie, Smith and co-star Kevin Kline played secret service agents tasked with protecting President Ulysses S. Grant. Despite its star-studded lineup and a hefty $170 million budget, Wild Wild West failed to perform at the box office, grossing only $222 million worldwide. It also received poor reviews and was nominated for eight Razzies, including Worst Picture, which it won.

Smith has since reflected on the film’s flop, admitting in a 2021 GQ interview, “’Wild Wild West’ is a thorn in my side. To see myself in chaps… I don’t like it.”
