A clip showing Wheel of Fortune host Ryan Seacrest appearing thinner has gone viral, leading to concerns about the television personality’s health.

In September 2024, Seacrest took over the role of the host of Wheel of Fortune, replacing Pat Sajak, who had recently retired. Throughout the months following, many fans turned to social media to express their concerns about Seacrest, pointing out that he appeared noticeably “gaunt.”

Those concerns seem to have escalated recently, particularly after the now-viral clip was shared on the official Wheel of Fortune Instagram page on January 23. In the clip, Seacrest congratulates Vanna White on her recent marriage to John Donaldson.

“I just found out before this show, and now did everybody else, and congratulations, well done,” he tells White.

“Thank you, I’m so happy to share the news with everyone,” White says, as the audience breaks out into applause.

While many fans filled the comment section to offer their congratulations to White, many others also shared their worries about Seacrest.

“That’s Ryan Seacrest??? No way. Absolutely no way,” wrote one person.

“Ryan Seacrest looks like an entirely different human,” said another.

Despite the slew of online comments about his appearance, inside sources say that the host remains in good health. He’s “happy and healthy” and “doing great,” they claim.

There has been some speculation that Seacrest could be using a prescription injection medication such as Ozempic, which many Hollywood celebrities have opened up about taking to aid in weight loss and blood sugar control in recent years.

Seacrest has neither confirmed nor denied taking any kind of medication. However, in October of 2024, the long-time American Idol host did reveal that he had been putting extra effort into his health and fitness ahead of turning 50.

He said that he had been “over-exercising, eating better, over-training.” “I’m doing everything I can to feel like I’m not 50. Anything I can do to make myself feel 29 again.”
