Rumer Willis has been slammed with some pretty serious allegations by her ex-boyfriend, Derek Richard Thomas.
Willis and Thomas were together for two years and welcomed their daughter, Louetta, in April of 2023. Louetta is now 3 years old.
Since the couple’s eventual split, they have been engaged in a bitter custody dispute over their daughter.
Willis previously accused Thomas of “incessant domestic violence”, detailing what she described as a “persistent pattern” of “insane emotional abuse” throughout their relationship in court documents. She also claimed that the alleged abuse occurred “often in front of the minor child or while they were trapped in the car with him”.
While Willis continues the fight for primary custody of the 3-year-old, Thomas has been fighting for visitation rights and a custody schedule.
He has also fought back against the allegations of domestic violence.
In new legal documents, Thomas denied that he had ever acted “aggressively or inappropriately” toward his ex-girlfriend and accused Willis of exploiting their daughter in online “adult sexual humor” content that he did not approve of.
As part of the new court filing, Thomas claimed that he has been denied the ability to see Louetta by Willis and requested visitation as well as a custody schedule to be put in place. He believes that this will help to “stabilize what has been an otherwise chaotic and unreasonable situation for Louetta.”
Willis, who is the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, has claimed that while she and Thomas were together, she felt as if she was having to always “walk on eggshells” in an attempt to keep the peace.
“He engaged in ongoing coercive control through prolonged circular verbal attacks that he is unable or unwilling to stop. [He] engages in this type of attack for over six hours at a time on what became a daily basis,” she alleged in a court filing.
