Kelly Clarkson has announced that her talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, will be coming to an end after seven seasons.

Clarkson shared a statement on her Instagram page about her decision to step away from the show.

“I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show,' both in Los Angeles and New York,” she began.

“There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons. I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for, all the talent and inspiring people who have shared their time and lives with us, all the fans who have supported our show, and to NBC for always being such a supportive and incredible partner."

Clarkson admitted that choosing to end her talk show was “not an easy decision,” but she emphasized that doing so will give her the opportunity to “prioritize her kids.”

She noted that this decision “feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives."

Clarkson’s decision to end her talk show comes after the tragic death of her ex-husband and the father of her children, Brandon Blackstock.

Blackstock was a talent manager who had been battling melanoma for more than three years before his death on August 7, 2025. He was just 48-years-old.

Blackstock left behind four children, including 11-year-old River Rose and 9-year-old Remington “Remy” Alexander, both of whom he shared with Clarkson. He also had two other children, Savannah and Seth, from a previous relationship.

Last year, singer Reba McEntire, who was Blackstock’s stepmother, provided an update on how his children have been doing since his passing.

“The kids are doing well, they’re all bonding together and hanging out with each other, and taking it one day at a time,” she said.
