Hilaria Baldwin, the wife of actor Alec Baldwin, is the mother of seven children. She is also very used to paparazzi trying to capture photos of her and her expansive family. With her oldest child, daughter Carmen Gabriella, she decided to take matters into her own hands regarding the public's ability to view her child.

During a recent episode of the “Viall Files” podcast, Hilaria opened up about her feelings about sharing her children’s photos on social media. She also revealed that she earned a whopping $95,000 for selling the first baby photo of Carmela.

“I don’t think there’s a right answer, but I found that the more I [tried to hide them], the more paparazzi there were. The culture — even though 12 years ago is not a long time — it was very different back then,” she acknowledged.

However, Hilaria noted that she didn’t keep the money she earned from the photograph for herself. Instead, she gave it away to help others.

“So I sold the first photos of the first few kids, and I donated all the money to charity because it felt like a gross thing anyway,” she continued. “Our first child was $95,000, and I donated all of that. It felt meaningful.”

Hilaria chose a charity organization from Mallorca, Spain, where part of her family lives. This organization helps children who have been victims of abuse.

“That was what I did with my first few. It became less of a thing as I had more children, and for everybody since the business is changing,” she continued. “I just started sharing them on Instagram. It went from tons of people trying to get this photo to, I put it on there, I’m not going to get chased around as much,” she said.
