A momentary glitch in Microsoft's Xbox Live has users around the world in a frenzy.

For close to three-hours, gamers were subjected to a multiple service issue that impacted the log-in process as well as updating games. And, in some cases, it even sent error messages to consoles. This led users to think their systems were malfunctioning, causing reactions that spilled over to social media.

Xbox itself took to Twitter to assure consumers that they are aware of the issues with Live and that it is not a problem with their consoles.

Microsoft fixed the bug around 3:30 PM EST and in doing so restored peace and order to the world.
