The Popeyes Chicken Sandwich Is Back and People Are Excited

People took to social media on Sunday, where they rejoiced over the sandwich's return.

Those who have been anxiously waiting for the return of the Popeyes chicken sandwich are finally getting their wish.

Earlier this week, Popeyes announced that the sandwich would be coming back on Nov. 3. It was also revealed that it will be part of the full-time men, which will hopefully keep it from selling out again.

With the day of reckoning is upon us, people flocked to Popeyes locations all around the country. It helps that the sandwich made its return on Sunday, which is the one day of the week that Chick-fil-A is closed on. As expected, social media was abuzz now that the country's favorite viral sandwich is back, hopefully for good.

NFL players got in on the action as well. Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson jokingly told reporters that the Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich healed his injured eye. As for the Vikings' Stefon Diggs, he wore a pair of custom Popeyes cleats during his game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

As expected, the lines were mad long.

Unfortunately it wasn't all celebratory, as video emerged of a customer getting irate over the sandwich in Harlem.
