The election is over. And while some are perfectly happy with the results, others are still processing, grieving, or fearing for the future. Whether you still need to chill out or you’re ready to take action, the appropriately-named website Holy Fuck the Election has tools to get you through the impending Trump reign.

Life just got scarier for queer, black, Muslim, and Latinx people, with reported incidents of hate speech and actions happening nationwide as soon as the day after Election Day. If you find yourself asking what you can do now to fight back against president-elect Donald Trump and all that he stands for, then you can donate your time, money, or time and money to the organizations listed below.

Fighting Racism

Black Lives Matter or Campaign Zero, the latter of which is also aimed at eliminating police violence and was created by Johnetta "Netta" Elzie and DeRay Mckesson. Council on American-Islamic Relations, National Immigration Law Center, Native American Rights Fund. While you’re at it, either find a way to donate to the people protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline, including the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, or call and write to the Obama administration.

LGBTQ

The Trevor Project, GLAAD, Lambda Legal.

Women

National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, RAINN (Rape Abuse & Incest National Network), Planned Parenthood.

Links on how to volunteer with any of the organizations listed above, and many more, can be found here. Don’t forget state and local organizations could also use your help. When in doubt, protest, as so many nationwide have already done and are already planning to continue doing.
