Besides being known for its low prices and even lower wages, Wal-Mart's known as the site of stories such as, Wal-Mart customer headbutts an employee or Wal-Mart customer rides motorized scooter while drinking wine and eating a whole rotisserie chicken. Over the weekend a Gates, N.Y. Wal-Mart saw a 30 person brawl erupt and eventually end with police arresting four people, as seen in a video.
The massive fight started at about 7 p.m. Sunday when two 17-year-olds allegedly made fun of a 24-year-old woman's dress, WHECreported.
In the minute-long video of the fight posted on Facebook, at least three people are seen wielding bats swinging them around as a trash can is thrown at them. According to Gates Police Chief Jim VanBrederode, the people took bats from Wal-Mart's sporting goods section for the fight.
During the fight, police said a 17-year-old girl struck a 52-year-old man in the head when she threw a can of food at him. The Daily Mailreported the teen was Nykia Brooks.
Police arrested Brooks and charged her with second-degree assault and disorderly conduct, the Daily Mail reported. The identities of other people arrested have not been revealed, but they were reportedly charged with disorderly conduct and have since been released.
"It was in total chaos when officers got there, it's just disgusting to see that kind of behavior happening right here," VanBrederode said. "People have no respect for other people and these situations are becoming much more common here in Monroe County."
Police said they're reviewing surveillance footage, and more arrests are expected.
