A student who survived the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School is pleading that Congress take action to thwart any more mass shootings.
“Please, this is the 18th one this year. That's unacceptable. We are children. You guys are the adults,” David Hogg told CNN in an interview. Hogg continued:
The high school shooting on Wednesday left 17 people dead and many others wounded. The suspect, 19-year-old Nikolaus Cruz, a former student, was apprehended and is currently in police custody and charged with 17 count of premeditated murder. The Broward Sheriff’s office said that Cruz had an AR-15 rifle weapon with multiple magazines in his possession. Trump is set to speak on Florida high school shooting on Thursday at 11 a.m. ET.
