A woman was arrested at a Baton Rouge, Louisiana middle school after attacking a student.
The woman also compelled her daughter to fight a second student, The Advocate reports. An East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s deputy assigned to the school said he had been notified of a major campus disturbance. The assistant principal told him that the mother, Lacey Louis, had come to the school visibly upset and was told to wait in the assistant principal’s office.
But Louis left the office and ambushed a student in a different room of the front office, allegedly attacking them. The mother then took her daughter from another room and urged her to fight another student.
Louistold the deputy she came to the school to talk to a teacher about her child being threatened on the phone by a student. The mother said she didn’t make it to the office because she’d seen her daughter fighting and was trying to stop the fight.
After speaking with a few witnesses, the deputy arrested Louis. She was booked on counts of simple battery, disturbing the peace, inciting to riot, and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles.
