Mark Zuckerberg Says Biden Administration Wanted to Censor Facebook

The tech CEO claims the Biden administration wanted to remove Facebook posts that cast the COVID-19 vaccine in a negative light.

Mark Zuckerberg claims that the Biden administration wanted to censor Facebook content about the COVID-19 vaccine.

“While [the Biden administration] is trying to push the [vaccine] program, they also tried to censor anyone who was basically arguing against it. They pushed us super hard to take down things that were honestly true,” the tech CEO said on The Joe Rogan Experience at around the 13-minute mark.

“They said, ‘Anything that says vaccines might have side effects, you basically need to take down.’ I was just like, ‘Well, we’re not going to do that.’”

Zuckerberg also revealed that the Biden administration was “yelling,” “cursing,” and “threatening repercussions” if he didn’t do what they said.

Elsewhere in Mark’s conversation with Joe Rogan, Zuckerberg said that the real move toward ideological censorship began around two events in 2016—Donald Trump elected as president and when the UK left the EU, or Brexit—and 2020’s COVID-19 pandemic.

“I was really worried from the beginning about basically becoming this sort of decider or what is true in the world—that’s kind of a crazy position to be in for billions of people using your service,” Zuckerberg added, per TMZ.
