A Florida woman has been accused of installing fake veneers without a dental license.

Fox News reports that Emely Martinez was arrested after her dental work allegedly left multiple victims with infections and damaged teeth. Police say the 35-year-old used superglue to affix veneers to victims’ mouths.

Martinez reportedly administered the service at the Tapp Inn Beauty Bar in Pinellas Park, Florida, where she marketed herself as a veneer technician. She offered to install veneers for $3,000 a set; real veneers can cost over $1,000 per tooth.

Because Martinez was unlicensed and had received no formal schooling, multiple victims had to get emergency dental work done to undo the damage.

"They actually have had to pay thousands of dollars to get their teeth fixed, and some of them had to wait for the infection to clear and go get their teeth fixed," Pinellas Park Police Department Sgt. Windy Vater told Fox 13 Tampa Bay.

Officials became aware of Martinez when two victims reported they had endured complications from veneer installations. Police say Martinez may have also performed dental work on kids and that she might have used different names and businesses to conceal her crimes.

She has since been charged with fraud and practicing dentistry without a license.
