Anderson Cooper braved Hurricane Milton on Wednesday night.

During a CNN live broadcast, the beloved anchor was seen weathering the storm in Siesta Keys, Florida to report on the Category 3 hurricane. A clip shows Cooper discussing the scene as a piece of debris flies into the camera.

"Whoa! That wasn’t good. We’ll probably go inside shortly,” he said after getting hit by the object.

On X, fans reminded everyone that Anderson loves being in the thick of it. Though he now broadcasts from CNN's New York studio, he previously spent much of his career covering natural disasters, war zones, and more. Fans pointed out that Cooper lives for the thrill—oh, and, “The tighter the black t-shirt he was wearing, the bigger the disaster,” according to X user @KEBrightbill.

According to TMZ, his broadcast was cut short and CNN host Kaitlan Collins appeared to let everyone know that Cooper wasn’t in danger. Unfortunately, Hurricane Milton has killed at least 11 people, per NBC News.
