With the Democrats still torn over Bernie vs. Hillary, Sen. Elizabeth Warren's speech on opening night of the Democratic National Convention was key.

Elizabeth Warren had more than a little pressure on her to deliver a unifying message during the opening night of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, where angry Bernie Sanders supporters were disrupting what is supposed to be Hillary Clinton's big party. Even for a progressive politician who's as beloved as Warren (many had hoped she would run or at least be Hillary Clinton's running mate), it was going to be a tough situation.

Warren also had to follow First Lady Michelle Obama, which wasn't easy. However, at the DNC, there's one move you probably can't go wrong with: bashing Donald Trump. Warren proved once again that she's very, very good at it.

Warren's speech didn't go over without interruption, though. After praising Sanders for "remind[ing] us what Democrats fight for every day," she turned to Hillary.

That's when pro-Sanders supporters began chanting, "We trusted you. We trusted you." Warren continued:

The vehemently anti-Trump Massachusetts senator had to speak to a party that's still torn by a divisive primary. Meanwhile, Sanders supporters were outside of the DNC protesting, and were booing any mention of Hillary Clinton inside—even when it was coming from Sanders himself. The DNC email leak that ultimately ousted DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz had the Berners even more amped up.

The DNC continues at Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center this week. You can watch the Complex News live stream from the convention, here.
