DeRay Mckesson is out of jail and back on Twitter telling the story. The prominent Black Lives Matter activist and former Baltimore mayoral candidate was arrested Saturday night in Baton Rouge, La. where he was protesting the death of Alton Sterling, who was shot to death by police last week.

The arrest of Mckesson, who is an extremely prolific presence on Twitter, had the #freederay hashtag trending on the social media site overnight and up until his release on bail this afternoon. About an hour after that, Mckesson was back on Twitter describing his experience, the people he met, the things they discussed, and turning the conversation back toward the death of Sterling.
