It's been quite a week for presidential hopeful and billionaire real estate mogul Donald Trump. In just a few days, we've seen him lose a coveted endorsement from Aaron Carter, narrowly miss getting swarmed by angry protesters at the GOP Convention in California, and get dragged by Glenn Beck. And it appears Trump is stirring up even more controversy for himself after having made claims at his Fort Wayne, Ind. rally that China is 'raping' the United States with its trade deficit.

CNNreports that during his second rally in the state on Sunday, Trump took aim at China's exports in relation to America's. "We can't continue to allow China to rape our country, and that's what they're doing," he reportedly said, perhaps overlooking the fact that his own menswear line is manufactured in Mexico.

In a conversation with CNN's "New Day" on Monday, Trump went on to defend the remarks. Asked by Chris Cuomo whether he was "evolving" from using inflammatory language like "rape" and "woman card," Trump doubled down. "I haven't heard anything negative really recently. Frankly, as far as China's concerned, everyone knows that's true," he said. "It gets the point across." Watch the full exchange from that interview below.
