La Fourchette, a Miami restaurant once spotlighted on Love & Hip Hop: Miami, has been forced to close its doors after state inspectors uncovered multiple health violations, including live and dead rodents inside its kitchen.

According to inspection records from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation obtained by Local 10 News, the restaurant was ordered to close on September 11 after 24 violations were documented.

Among the most alarming findings were a live mouse inside an oven and another crawling from a hole in the wall near the sink. Inspectors also noted “rodent rub marks” along the walls and ceilings, as well as droppings scattered under pallets, equipment, and racks throughout the facility.

The report also flagged unsafe food storage practices. Red snapper was discovered at 56 degrees Fahrenheit, and cooked chicken at 61 degrees, well above the state’s maximum cold-holding limit of 41 degrees.

A “Stop Sale” was issued on those items due to temperature abuse. Additional violations included expired food manager certification, holes in the walls, damaged ceilings, unclean food-contact surfaces, and employees preparing meals without washing their hands.

La Fourchette, located on North Miami Avenue, isn’t just another neighborhood spot—it gained attention through its connection to Florence El Luche, a cast member on Love & Hip Hop: Miami.

Earlier this year, Florence made headlines after a heated on-air clash with fellow castmate Amara La Negra over accusations of colorism. The fight quickly went viral, according to HotNewHipHop.

The closure of La Fourchette came during a week in which 14 South Florida restaurants were temporarily shut down for serious code violations. Other establishments, including Berries in Coconut Grove, Wonder Wok Chinese Restaurant, and Bruno’s Bakery in Miami Gardens, were also cited for rodent activity.

Chains like McDonald’s and Denny’s were ordered to close after inspectors found live roaches, moldy ice machines, and other unsafe conditions.

Like the other restaurants on the list, La Fourchette will be permitted to reopen only after completing a state-mandated cleanup and passing a follow-up inspection.
