An argument in Florida took a sharp turn on Thursday night, December 3, when what began as a verbal disagreement allegedly escalated into flying poultry and, ultimately, a felony arrest.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office and a news report released by Local 10, deputies were dispatched just after 10 p.m. to the 900 block of Northwest Eighth Avenue following reports of a fight between two women.
By the time authorities arrived, they learned the confrontation had gone well beyond words.
Investigators say 25-year-old Jameisha Tashay Wallace threw a piece of chicken directly into another woman’s face during the argument, setting off a physical altercation.
The arrest report is detailed in nearly every respect—except it does not specify whether the chicken was raw or cooked.
After the chicken was thrown and the situation escalated, deputies say Wallace went upstairs to her apartment and returned holding a kitchen knife. She allegedly pointed the knife toward the victim and moved it toward her hand, making contact.
The report notes the contact did not cause a cut, but it was enough for deputies to classify the incident as aggravated battery.
Wallace told officers she had been “jumped,” but investigators determined she was the primary aggressor. Despite the victim stating she did not want to pursue charges, deputies arrested Wallace at the scene.
She was booked into the North Broward Bureau jail facility, where she remained as of Friday, December 4, on a $4,000 bond.
