The Florida Man chronicles found a new entry this week after deputies in Polk County arrested a man who allegedly concealed a firearm beneath prosthetic silicone breasts while wearing red lingerie at a construction site.
According to WESH, Matthew Zaccarino, 39, of Altamonte Springs, was discovered alone near a vehicle at the intersection of Ernie Caldwell Boulevard and Grandview Parkway. Deputies said the area was an active construction site and that Zaccarino did not have permission to be there.
When deputies approached, Zaccarino was standing near the passenger side of a vehicle. Authorities say he began putting on a red lace bra and a matching G-string while they attempted to question him. Deputies ordered him to stop moving, at which point he reportedly removed the undergarments instead.
That’s when the situation escalated. During a search, deputies discovered a gun concealed beneath one of the silicone breast implants Zaccarino was wearing, according to the arrest report.
After allegedly reaching back into the vehicle, Zaccarino was handcuffed and taken into custody without further incident.
Zaccarino told deputies he was headed to a costume party but declined to provide an address or any additional details when pressed. Authorities noted that he stopped answering questions after being asked where the party was located.
The unusual arrest quickly drew public attention after Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd addressed the incident. “A lace bra, a G-string, and a hidden gun,” Judd said in a statement. “Folks, you cannot make this up.”
Judd later described the situation as “highly unusual,” emphasizing that the discovery of a concealed firearm significantly raised the stakes of what might have otherwise been a straightforward trespassing call.
Zaccarino was charged with armed trespassing with a firearm, loitering and prowling, and resisting an officer without violence. Online jail records confirm the charges, which stem from the combination of being armed while allegedly trespassing and refusing to comply with deputies’ instructions during the encounter.
No injuries were reported, and authorities did not indicate whether the firearm had been loaded at the time it was found.
