A former North Texas summer camp director has admitted to misusing funds from a Christian youth organization, and investigators have linked some of the spending to the subscription platform OnlyFans.

Fox4 reports that Blake Bowman, who led Camp Thurman in Pantego, Texas, pleaded guilty to felony charges tied to the misuse of camp money over a two-year period.

According to court records, Bowman diverted funds between 2021 and 2022 while serving as executive director of the camp, which sits just outside Arlington.

Prosecutors traced more than $1 million in transactions connected to accounts under his control, though the exact amount allegedly taken or misapplied has not been finalized.

Authorities said Bowman linked his personal PayPal account to the camp’s bank account and used camp-issued credit cards to cover personal expenses.

Camp Thurman, a longstanding Christian summer camp founded in 1969, has grown from a small operation hosting a few dozen children into a program that serves more than 6,000 campers annually.

Bowman had overseen the organization for eight years and later worked as a teacher in multiple North Texas school districts, including Weatherford ISD and Burleson ISD, before resigning in August 2025. His teaching certification is now under review by state officials.

Court filings also revealed that some of the misused funds were spent on OnlyFans subscriptions, an adult-oriented content platform. Investigators cited financial records tying camp funds directly to those transactions.

In a separate filing, officials noted that Bowman made payments totaling roughly $2,800 back to the camp between March 2024 and May 2025, though the purpose of those payments was not specified.

Bowman was initially indicted in April 2024 and arrested the following month. After posting bail, he was re-indicted in January 2025 as additional allegations surfaced. His guilty plea was entered without a sentencing agreement, leaving the final decision to the court.

He now faces a potential sentence of 5 to 99 years in prison on each charge.
