One of the lawyers representing UnitedHealthcare CEO shooting suspect Luigi Mangione is married to one of the lawyers representing Diddy.
Last week it was reported that Karen Friedman-Agnifilo will represent Mangione after he was charged with the fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. Friedman-Agnifilo happens to be married to Marc Agnifilo, who is one of the lawyers representing Diddy. She previously worked as a prosecutor at the head of Manhattan District Attorney's Office sex crimes unit, a position she left in 2021 to join her husband's legal firm, Agnifilo Intrater LLP.
Their marriage has previously caused issues due to her role in the sex crimes unit, as her husband has represented several high-profile clients accused of sexual assault, including Harvey Weinstein. She was forced to remove herself from that case and several others.
Mangione is the lead suspect in the killing of Brian Thompson, who was fatally shot outside of the New York Hilton Midtown hotel on December 4. Mangione was arrested at a McDonald's in Altoona, Pennsylvania on Dec. 9. When he was detained by authorities, he was allegedly in possession of "multiple fraudulent IDs," a silenced firearm, and a handwritten, three-page document that serves as his manifesto.
