Jay-Z has teamed up with Twitter founder Jack Dorsey once again for a new financial literacy program called The Bitcoin Academy.

As reported by Billboard, the program will be held for residents of the Marcy Houses project in Brooklyn, New York, where Hov was born and raised. The two are funding the educational initiative, which promises "to provide education and empower the community with knowledge" on the world of cryptocurrency and other financial investments. All residents of the Marcy Houses complex will be able to get involved completely for free, and there’s plans to bring the initiative to other neighborhoods in the future.

The project is being supported by Dorsey’s bitcoin-focused company Block and the Shawn Carter Foundation in collaboration with Crypto Blockchain Plug and Black Bitcoin Billionaire.

The program will offer both online and in-person courses two times a week for 12 weeks, starting as soon as June 22. Classes will focus on all the ins and outs of cryptocurrencies, what the blockchain actually is, and how to avoid scams.

“The Shawn Carter Foundation has always been about providing educational access and opening doors of opportunity to underserved communities,” said Jay-Z’s mother Gloria Carter, who serves as the president of the Shawn Carter Foundation. “No one should be left out or behind. We truly appreciate the partnership with Block and Jack Dorsey to bring financial, specifically bitcoin education to the Marcy residents, where I spent many years raising my family. Everyone should be empowered to make informed financial decisions in order to take care of themselves and their families.”
