During a private speech at the National Republican Senatorial Committee retreat, Donald Trump decided to share his stance on golden showers with the world.

It has long been rumored following an unverified dossier from Christopher Steele that there is “pee tape,” in which the one-term president supposedly hired prostitutes while staying at the Ritz-Carlton in Moscow in 2013 to urinate on the hotel bed in a room in which then-President Barack Obama had stayed. At the Republican retreat this week, Trump appeared to reference the rumor.

"I’m not into golden showers," Trump, unprompted, told his audience, per the Washington Post. "You know the great thing, our great first lady—‘That one,’ she said, ‘I don’t believe that one.’”

Former FBI director James Comey previously wrote that Trump told him he was “a germaphobe” and wasn’t interested in letting “people pee on each other around me.”

Despite his insistence that no such tape exists, the rumor has continued to persist. The allegations of what the supposed tape featured did not technically meet the description of a golden shower, but Trump felt the need to clarify his stance on watersports.

During the same speech, Trump called Democratic impeachment efforts “all phony stuff,” and extensively praised Chinese President Xi Jinping. He also took aim at renewable energy, once again.

“It’s so sad when you see that they are approving these windmills,” said the 75-year-old, who has expressed doubt regarding climate change many times. “You talk about carbon emissions, well, they are making them. More goes into the air than if you ran something for 30 years."
