A shooting in South Carolina left 9 people injured on Sunday, marking the second mass shooting in the state within two days.

The shooting took place at Cara’s Lounge in Furman, South Carolina, and the circumstances surrounding it remain unclear, per ABC News. The South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division is leading an investigation into the shooting, per the Hampton County Sheriff’s Office.

The Furman shooting took place after 14 people were injured in a shooting just a day before, when shots erupted in a Columbia, South Carolina mall. Nine of those injured at the Columbiana Centre mall were shot, while five others were injured as they rushed to exit the scene. The Columbia Police Department says officers responded to “shots fired” reports around 2:30 p.m., adding that a stampede then broke out.

Jewayne Price, 22, has since been charged with unlawful carrying of a pistol in relation to Saturday’s shooting, the Charlotte Observer reports. Police have detained three suspects in total, per CNN, as Price’s bond was set to $25,000. He’ll be appearing in court for the unlawful carrying of a pistol charge on June 9, per Richland County court records.

“We believe the individuals that were armed knew each other, and there was some type of conflict that occurred which resulted in gunfire,” chief William Holbrook said in a Saturday conference, adding that the oldest victim was 73 and the youngest was 15. “This was not a situation where we had some random person show up at a mall to discharge a firearm and injure people.”
