San Juan Mayor Calls Trump 'Hater in Chief' After He Threatens to Pull Aid From Puerto Rico

"You are incapable of fulfilling the moral imperative to help the people of PR. Shame on you!"

San Juan mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz is understandably upset with the Trump regime's response to Puerto Rico being devastated by back-to-back hurricanes, which have left scores of people without access to clean drinking water, electricity or food.

Not only has the U.S. response to the disaster in Puerto Rico been slow, Trump took to Twitter (yet again) to add insult to injury by threatening to remove FEMA from the island. Rather, Trump seems most concerned with Puerto Rico repaying a massive debt that exceeds $70 billion to Wall Street and a collection of hedge fund managers.

Cruz responded to the failed businessman, calling him a "Hater in Chief."

Mayor Cruz also released a statement, in which she wrote the following: "While you are amusing yourself throwing paper towels at us, your compatriots and the world are sending love and help our way." This of course references Trump literally throwing paper towels at a crowd of hurricane survivors. Yes, that actually happened, and Trump attempted to later defend it.

Unfortunately, he was not hurling out that Trump toilet paper brand started by Mexican corporate lawyer Antonio Battaglia.

Trump's lackluster response to the events in Puerto Rico has moved celebrities such as Fat Joe, Pitbull, Remy Ma, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Jennifer Lopez and Carmelo Anthony to pitch in with relief efforts, while other prominent figures are using their voices to remind Trump of his duties.
