The second golf major of the year is upon us as the PGA Championship will take place this Thursday through Sunday at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. Aronimink is hosting the PGA Championship for the first time since 1962.
The course, located 13 miles from downtown Philadelphia, has hosted three PGA Tour events over the past 16 years: the AT&T National in 2010 and 2011, and the 2018 BMW Championship.
Below, we’ll look at the odds heading into this year’s PGA Championship.
Scottie Scheffler (+450)
Scheffler has 25 professional wins and is the No. 1 ranked golfer in the world, so we’ll never accuse him of being unable to close … but, it must be said that the 29-year-old hasn’t won a tournament since late January despite finishing in the top 10 five times since. These “bridesmaid not a bride” results have been even more glaring recently as Scheffler has three straight “runner-up” finishes in his last three tournaments. He finished second in the Masters, then second in the RBC Heritage, and then second in the Cadillac Championship earlier this month. Scheffler is the reigning PGA Championship champion, having won last May at Quail Hollow.
Rory McIlroy (+800)
McIlroy made his first appearance on Tour since his Masters win this past weekend at the Truist Championship at Quail Hollow Club. He struggled on Saturday with a 75 and wound up finishing tied for 19th. He was noticeably limping around Quail Hollow and later revealed that he had a blister under the nail of his right pinky toe. The Northern Irishman claims it will not impact his play at Aronimink this week.
Cameron Young (+1200)
Could Young get his first major victory this week? It’s certainly on the table as Young has been on an absolute heater the past month-and-a-half. In his last seven tournaments, he’s finished in the top 10 in six of them. Two of those six were outright wins (THE PLAYERS Championship in March, and the Cadillac Championship earlier this month).
Xander Schauffele (+1300)
Schauffele won the final PGA Tour event he played in last season, the Baycurrent Classic in October 2025, but a Tour win in 2026 has eluded him thus far. The San Diego native had the longest made cut streak on the Tour, but it was stopped at 72 when he struggled at Torrey Pines in the Farmers Insurance Open in January. He has made the cut in every tournament he’s played in since, but does not have a win or a runner-up finish. He finished T9 at the Masters and his Top 10 finish odds for the PGA Championship are currently +140 at Fanatics.
Jon Rahm (+1400)
Rahm mostly fielded questions about his future with LIV Golf and a potential return to the PGA Tour at his press conference Tuesday. The Spaniard would, of course, prefer that the attention was on his actual golf game. Rahm continues to dominate LIV, as he won LIV Golf Mexico City a week after a disappointing showing at the 2026 Masters (T38).
Notable longshots
Bryson DeChambeau (+2200)
DeChambeau is another one who is being bombarded with questions of LIV regret this week. His backup plan if LIV does go under, is to make good as a YouTube influencer. Regardless of DeChambeau’s uncertain future, the bomber is a threat to win at Aronimink. He finished T2 at Quail Hollow last May.
Brooks Koepka (+3500)
Koepka’s confidence is sky-high as he shot a 29 on the back nine this past Saturday in the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic. It was the first 29 Koepka has shot on Tour since he accomplished the feat at Nine Bridges in South Korea in 2019.
Kristoffer Reitan (+9000)
Reitan is also on top of the world mentally as he earned his first PGA Tour win this past weekend. The 28-year-old from Norway shot 2-under 69 on Sunday to win the Truist Championship at Quail Hollow.
