The linchpin of the pro football off-season, the NFL Draft, is in the books. Rookies are already getting acclimated to their new situations, mandatory mini-camps are on the horizon, and the start of training camp is now less than 100 days away.

Fanatics Sportsbooks is already offering up plenty of 2026-27 football markets, including odds on these fresh-faced rookies. Below, we’ll take a look at the opening odds for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Jeremiyah Love
Fanatics Sportsbook odds: +300
Jeremiyah Love will get plenty of touches in the Cardinals offense in Year 1. Workload definitely factors into NFL Rookie of the Year odds, but potential overuse should be considered as well. Running backs can often be run into the ground early in their careers, particularly if they wind up on a team that is in pure rebuild mode—such as the Arizona Cardinals.

A running back has not won NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year since 2018 when Saquon Barkley received the honor.

Love has been compared to recent first-round RB picks like Barkley, Bijan Robinson and Ashton Jeanty, all of whom had dual-threat capabilities as a rusher and receiver.

Robinson had 976 yards rushing and 487 yards receiving in his rookie season, but the award wound up going to QB CJ Stroud. Jeanty had 975 yards rushing and 346 yards receiving in his rookie season, but the award went to WR Tetairoa McMillan.

Fernando Mendoza

One thing to certainly keep in mind when betting on a quarterback to win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, is how likely is it that the team he plays for will have a remarkably better record this season than last season?

Five of the last 10 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year winners have been quarterbacks. Three of those five took their team to the playoffs in Year 1. Here is a look at all five, with what their team’s record was prior to their arrival, and after.

  • 2024: Jayden Daniels (4-13 to 12-5)
  • 2023: CJ Stroud (3-13-1 to 10-7)
  • 2020: Justin Herbert (5-11 to 7-9)
  • 2019: Kyler Murray (3-13 to 5-10-1)
  • 2016: Dak Prescott (4-12 to 13-3)

Can Fernando Mendoza make the Raiders, who went 3-14 last season, immediately respectable?

Carnell Tate
Fanatics Sportsbook odds: +650
On Tate’s side for winning NFL OROY is the fact that wide receivers have won in three of the past five years. McMillan won this past season, Garrett Wilson won in 2022, and Ja’Marr Chase won in 2021.

McMillan had 70 catches for 1,014 yards and 7 TDs last season with the Panthers. Wilson had 83 catches for 1,103 yards and 4 TDs in his rookie campaign. And Chase had 81 catches for 1,455 yards and a whopping 13 TDs in his pro debut season.

Tate’s opportunity to approach those numbers in Year 1 in Tennessee will obviously be tied to Cam Ward’s sophomore year maturation under center.
