Success in life is all about timing. Ditto when it comes to success in the NFL. If there ever was a season to be a team with a bad record—NFL teams don’t tank—2026-27 looks to take the cake.

The 2027 NFL Draft is shaping up to be an all-timer, as the projected Top 10 is loaded with everyone’s favorite scouting phrase: “generational talent.”

So, while teams spin their 2026 NFL Draft picks as the missing pieces to the puzzle this week, know that it’s not the end of the world if these makeshift PR campaigns fall flat.

For the granddaddy Draft of them all is just 360-some odd days around the corner.

Below, we’ll take a look at the top 10 NFL Draft prospects for 2027. This is Complex Bets’ 2027 NFL Draft Preview.

10

Ellis Robinson IV, CB, Georgia

Robinson is phenomenal at jumping routes as he recorded 4 interceptions last season. He has long arms that allow him to deflect passes most defensive backs can’t get to. The New Haven, Connecticut native is also known as an elite defender in the run game.

9

Brendan Sorsby, QB, Texas Tech

Sorsby will be 23-years-old at the time of the 2027 NFL Draft as he has now transferred twice (Indiana to Cincinnati and now to Texas Tech). The 6-foot-3, 235-pounder is extremely athletic as he ran the ball for 580 yards and 9 touchdowns on 100 carries this past season for the Bearcats. Sorsby also demonstrates great touch when throwing the ball, as he threw for 2,800 yards and 27 TDs against just 5 INTs last season at Cincinnati.

Cam Coleman, WR, Texas

Coleman will be an immediate contributor to whichever NFL team selects him in 2027. Many CFB analysts considered Coleman to be the best overall player in the transfer portal this past winter, as Coleman moved from Auburn to Texas. His numbers with the Tigers were not eye-popping as he averaged 653.0 receiving yards and 6.5 receiving TDs in two seasons. But most attribute that to weak play by Auburn quarterbacks. Coleman should find the sledding much easier in 2026 with Arch Manning throwing him the ball.

7

Jordan Seaton, OT, LSU

Seaton is outstanding as a pass protector, and he moves extremely well for a 330-pounder. The New York Times listed him as the top offensive lineman to hit the transfer portal this past winter. Seaton allowed just five sacks on 940 career pass blocking snaps at Colorado. He will join Lane Kiffin in Baton Rouge for the 2026 season.

6

CJ Carr, QB, Notre Dame

Carr is currently the favorite at Fanatics Sportsbook to win the 2026 Heisman Trophy, as he owns +700 odds. Carr is known for his quick decision-making and pinpoint accuracy. The 6-foot-3, 210-pounder completed 66% of his passes last season while racking up 2,741 yards and 24 TDs. He threw just 6 INTs on the season. Of note, he is the grandson of former Michigan head football coach Lloyd Carr.

5

Trevor Goosby, OT, Texas

Goosby is a monster at 6-foot-7, 312 pounds. He should get a good amount of national notoriety this season, protecting Manning’s blind side. He is a natural athlete, who excelled at basketball in his younger years. He comes from an extremely athletic family, highlighted by the fact that his great uncle is the late Hall of Famer, Dick “Night Train Lane.

4

Colin Simmons, DE, Texas

NFL scouts have been salivating over Simmons for a few years now. He wasted little time dominating at the collegiate level as he posted 9 sacks and forced 3 fumbles in his freshman season for the Longhorns in 2024. The production led to him being named the Shaun Alexander National Freshman of the Year. He followed that up with an even more dominant season in 2025, as he recorded 12 sacks.

3

Dante Moore, QB, Oregon

Moore was sensational for the Ducks last season, throwing for 3,565 yards, 30 TDs, and 10 INTs. He is often compared to Packers QB Jordan Love, and is an extremely natural passer with great accuracy. Moore won 13 games as the Oregon signal-caller last season with his only two losses coming against eventual National Champion Indiana.

2

Jeremiah Smith, WR, Ohio State

Ohio State has become a receiver factory in recent years as Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Marvin Harrison, Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave all donned the scarlet and gray. Most everyone agrees that Smith is more talented than any of those players listed, which is saying something. The 6-foot-3, 223-pounder has amassed 163 catches for 2,558 yards, and 27 touchdowns in his two seasons in Columbus. He is lined up to have one of the most dominant seasons by a WR in CFB history.

1

Arch Manning, QB, Texas

Arch Manning is one of the most hyped quarterback prospects since his uncle Peyton in the 1990s. After a slow start, Arch, the son of Cooper Manning, showed flashes of greatness in his first full year of college football action last season at Texas. The last time we saw him was in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl against Michigan, and Manning passed for 221 yards, 2 TDs and 0 INTs. Oh, and he ran for 155 yards and 2 TDs on 9 carries.
